Cap'n McCormack and able crew members Skipper and Iain spent 10 days (28th Dec - 6th Jan) cruising the Able Tasman coastline. Much of this is in the Able Tasman National Park. It enjoys a temperate climate and the scenery is idylic natural bush. Most importantly Tasman Bay offers up great sailing conditions - the typical and predominant warm Northerly/Nor'westerly rising late morning and dying out in the evening. We launched at Motueka after a 7 hour drive through the night from Christchurch (arriving Mot just after 5am). I think I'll have to go back, and I think I'll go back there soon - great place, highly recommended.
